2019 Scholarship Winners Announced

Lucas Nitschke

Lucas Nitschke from Jud, is the son of Sherry Nitschke and Blane Nitschke.  He will be among the fourth generation of his family farm, which primarily grow soybeans, wheat and corn, as well as rasing cattle and sheep. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and running.
Lucas graduated from Edgeley-Kulm High School class of 2019 and actively participated in academics, athletics, community service projects, and extra-curricular activities including Future Farmers of America (FFA) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
Lucas will continue his education at the University of North Dakota (UND) John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences where he will major in Aeronautics: Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations (UAS) and Business Management.

Jacob Ulmer

Jacob Ulmer is the son of Chad and Tenille Ulmer, from Fullerton, ND.
Jacob grew up on the family farm by Fullerton and attended school in LaMoure where he recently graduated high school as the class of 2019. While in high school, Jacob was active in the baseball and basketball teams, 4-H, FCA, and Luthern Youth Organization (LYO). He plans to further his education in Watertown, SD at Lake Area Tech where he will be studying Precision Ag.
